The SQUID system JESSY was improved with respect to user-friendliness and stability.

The customer has from now on the options to use standard USB adapters and optical data transmission.

The Jena SQUID system JESSY consists of the following parts:

• SQUID Sensor (current sensor, magnetometer, gradiometer )

System parameters with a standard magnetometer SQUID (voltage swing 60 µV) and cryogenic cable (length 1.0 m):

An adapter cable for the connection of the JESSY System to an IBM compatible PC via standard USB 1.1 or USB 2.0 port can be supplied from now on.

An adapter for optical transmission of data between JESSY and the control PC is now available as an option. You can transmit data undisturbed up to 100m distant.

This guarantees an effective protection from radiation and stroke of lightning as well as a potential separation.
